A new map every Friday: Rimehaven opens October 16
Five new maps are on the way, one each Friday at 19:00 Sofia time. Rimehaven goes first, on October 16.
Five Fridays, five maps
A new map opens every Friday at 19:00 Sofia time:
- October 16: Rimehaven. A snowed-in harbor with container stacks on A and a freight hangar on B.
- October 23: Rainline. A neon block at night, in the pouring rain.
- October 30: Saffron. A sunlit spice market under silk awnings.
- November 6: Mossgate. Limestone ruins deep in the jungle.
- November 13: Stargazer. A mountain observatory, and a whole new mode with it: King of the Hill.
In GMT, the first two premieres start at 16:00 and the rest at 17:00, since Bulgaria turns its clocks back on October 25.
King of the Hill has no bomb. There's one point in the middle, and whichever team holds it fills its meter. Fill it up and the round is yours.
Make it your field
To pick a new map for your own battles, you earn it in Career. Each stage is played on the home map of the team you face: Scrap Rats on Rimehaven, Iron Wall on Rainline, Long Shots on Saffron, Clockwork on Mossgate. Beat them and the map is yours for battles vs the house, challenges and leagues you create. Lost to them five times? They'll respect your persistence and hand over the field anyway.
A stage shows up on the day its map premieres. Until you unlock a map, Random map can still drop you there, and you can accept challenges and watch battles on every map. Already cleared Career? Every new map is open to you right away. Stargazer is open to everyone from its premiere.
Map experience
Every counted battle on a map earns experience: 3 for a win, 1 for a loss or a battle vs the house, up to 15 a day per map. Ranks go from I (Tourist) to V (Insider), and the higher ones also ask for different rivals. It's bragging rights only: no strength, no credits. Your ranks live in the Map experience section of your profile, and after each battle you'll see something like "+3 on Rimehaven". Four new achievements come with it, including Trailblazer: win on a map in its first week after the premiere.
Bot pages also have a new By map block with rounds, battles and win rate on each map, so you can see who to send where.
