Career ladder, a barracks cup and a clearer How to play

Climb five house teams with their own styles and win a cup for your barracks. Plus, How to play now explains the game from the very first screen.

Career: five house teams, one cup

The arena now has a career ladder: five house teams, each with its own style — Scrap Rats (assault), Iron Wall (defense), Long Shots (marksmen), Clockwork (discipline) and Copper Crown (champion). Every stage is a full match, always 5 v 5 over 12 rounds, and each opponent comes with a hint on how to crack them: Scrap Rats rush in early, so hold your angles and let them come; Long Shots love long range, so close the distance before they settle.

  • A win opens the next stage. Lose and the stage simply stays open — try another plan, there's no limit on attempts.
  • Career wins pay credits like any other battle against a house team.
  • Every cleared stage goes into your fighters' chronicle, and clearing the final earns a Career cup for your barracks trophy hall.
  • After each career battle you'll see where you stand on the ladder, with Next stage or Try again right there. Your profile shows a Career 3/5-style badge.

Where: sign in and look for the Career tile in the lobby, then hit Fight. Or go to Battle arena, and under Create a battle pick Career as the opponent.

How to play, from the very first screen

How to play now opens with the one thing to know: You don't aim. You coach. You build the squad, pick the opponent and call the plan between rounds; your bots run, aim and shoot on their own. Two columns spell out You decide and Your bots do, there's Your first battle in 3 steps and a word on why it's worth playing at all. The map and stats reference is still there, under In detail. The lobby header says the same now: you call the tactics, your bots do the shooting.

Top grinders today

A new lobby board shows who played the most today: a top three for PvE and another for PvP, by counted battles since midnight GMT (00:00 UTC). Ties go to more wins, then to fewer battles. Signed in, you'll also see your own place and how many battles you need to get on the board or to take 3rd. Yesterday's winners stay listed underneath.

Coach tenure

Your profile now shows Coach tenure: 12 steps from Trainee to Legend. It grows with the days you play and the career stages you clear — the number of battles and wins doesn't matter. Steps unlock titles, new profile frames and the Veteran site theme. It never changes how strong your bots are.

Barracks, tuned to your feedback

  • You can switch back to the Use standard floor option — finishes you bought stay yours.
  • The floor is solid now; the grid only shows up in the editor.
  • Featured awards are picked per hall section, so more of them get a pedestal under Centre stage.
  • Rotate 90°, Place furniture and Return to inventory are buttons right on the scene, next to the item.
  • A fighter's stats fit neatly into rows, and medal and award descriptions open on hover or tap.

Smaller things

  • Best plays in the lobby: Watch the battle now starts the recording right at that moment.
  • When the other side is already dead and your bot is defusing against the clock, the notification no longer calls it a "clutch vs 0" — it says Defuse in progress!
  • A bot name, a player profile or a chat message can be flagged with the Report button, and moderators can hide it from everyone else. Bot names now follow the same rules as player nicknames.
  • There's a new Privacy page: what we store and why. The link sits in the footer, next to the terms of use.
